This is a progressive, choreographed 8-week pole dance course in a strongly emotive style that incorporates ballet and contemporary dance-based techniques.
Classes are one hour per week and Term 4 runs from 1 July to 25 August 2024.
The choreography features level 1 spinning pole tricks/combinations, including moves such as spin climbs, pole sits, tucked spins and spirals. You can also expect combos with basic inverts (eg. ankle grab to handstand straddle/stag).
Level 1 prerequisites: We recommend that you have completed Pole Techniques 1 course or equivalent, and/or take Pole Techniques 1 concurrently in the same term. Must be able to execute spinning pole tricks such as spin climb, jamilla, showgirl variations and pole sit confidently. For those who have just completed our Beginners pole course, please clear an assessment from your instructor prior to signing up.
